Exciting news! The Recall Fundraising Committee has sent out its first round of personalized emails encouraging local folks to donate to the cause.
We’re hoping for a great response which will allow us to continue our media campaign. The TV and radio ads are designed to help you, as canvassers, and to drive folks to our various pop-ups.
Please encourage your friends to use our handy donor envelopes or just visit our website to donate.
And, as always, if you’d like to host a Home Fundraiser, please come to next Wednesday’s community meeting to learn more about how we can and will support you.
From the Ground Crew: according to Judy Johnson, the Official Signature Scorekeeper, we have 1581 confirmed signatures.
We’re 1/3 of the way to the minimum signatures needed. You’re doing a first-rate job canvassing neighborhoods. Keep it up!
Just to clear something up…
The Committee to Recall Kevin Crye does NOT want Governor Newsom involved. We prefer to hold a free and fair election by District 1 voters in March 2024.
If all goes as planned, District 1 voters will be able to vote for a new supervisor without any involvement by the governor.
Our goal is to have the Recall on the ballot in the next election, slated for November 7th.
If we're successful with the Recall, there should be a chance for us to get the election for a new supervisor on the ballot for March 5, 2024, a regular election day.
It’s entirely possible to reach these goals with your help. Below is a list of signature events for the next week:
Raley's -- Lake Blvd.
Sat & Sun 9a-3p
Sundial Bridge -- kiosk at the bridge
Corner of Quartz Hill & Benton -- parking lot next to Lake Redding Park
